First February

This is my 3rd FIRST post in this beginning of the year. So what's about this? Dang dang dang!! It's Richrad a.k.a my lovely boyfriend's birthday!!

So you may want to ask me, "What's your plan?", "How do you want to celebrate for him?" etc. Well, my very first initial plan is going out with him, hang around, and have nice meals together. Then, I have a second thought to make a video compiling all our photos together throughout past one year. And then, another thought, his very desire deep within him is to have his CG members celebrate with him and come to his house. Therefore, eventually I pick up my phone contact Kelvin Yii, one of the closer Richard's CG friend, and start the secret MISSION SURPRISE.

This is a plan throughout January. Why? Coz I need to get people to write something for him, may it be some "love letter" (according to Gordon Ling), something good that they appreciate him, something meaningful, or of course birthday wishes for him.Who are those people? Those who are close to him, and meaningful to him. They are his best friends (as far as in Singapore), colleagues (and bosses), CG members, church friends, and of course, church leaders. This is the gift preparation part. How about the surprise part? The surprise plan is to get his CG member to set up his room for a surprise when he's home. But we have to change plan last few days when Richard have to do HTV shooting at the planned day. And therefore we decided to kidnap his car and get him to go for treasure hunt.

So how's the outcome of it? Was him surprise? Shocked? Happy? Touched? Sadly I announce to you, our surprise plan FAILED as he's rushing. Well, right timing is seemingly very very very important. Nevertheless, though the surprise part failed, the warm part is a success. He's indeed VERY TOUCHED seeing all the wishes, and AMAZED seeing the signatures.

What's the most difficult part in this plan? I have to say that it's to carry out this plan without him notice something is on. As we always stick together, it's difficult to do so. Yet, I manage to carry it on successfully while he's serving.Hehehe.. Indeed the most difficult part is to seal my own mouth while preparing all these. So tempted to tell him about all these. Not to forget those part like contact his friend, best friend, and last minute convert his empty cover to something meaningful. Hehe.

The First Week

I have a random, chilling, fun-filled first week of the year.

#1 Meet-up with the Best Friend
After much and much and much delay, we finally got to meet up at Centrepoint McD. We eat, chill, chat and update each other throughout the night at the beautiful date of 20130104. I kidnapped the girlfriend of someone at this beautiful date and he's so kind and gentle replied with this: "It is worth for you guys to have a wonderful gathering in this special day too. You two look great. :)". Well, I am really happy for my girl that she has such a good boyfriend. *Winks*

#2 The belated Chinese media team+lighting+sound crew Makan @Chilli Empire mall
Still remember that some of us got the Heroes' Award in our Christmas Thanksgiving service? The reward is a RM300 Chilli vouchers. And therefor,e here we are at Chilli having dinner together as a team. It's an awesome time eating, chilling and chatting.

#3 Rare random night out @SS2 pasar malam
Pick up a random call from the big sista Xin Hui to go to pasar malam with the other like Pierre, Hui Ing, Fei Fun and Ah Weng. We had fun buying the food, eating, and chill together. Too bad Richard and Jen-Hann are way too busy with worship practice and can't join us.

First

Random thought to blog about the FIRST CHURCH SERVICE of the year, and also FIRST CHURCH WIDE PRAYER MEETING (CWPM) as well.

Have the privilege to design the FIRST sermon slide of the year, and I'm really enjoy and proud when the graphic turn up beautifully and gracefully. Hehe.. Have a look.

The Power of Vision

As for CWPM, I do enjoy myself praying in the hall. I feel the tangible presence of God, His comfort and Word. I'm indeed in the struggle to continue being a research assistant or change another job. I feel the challenge within me that God want me to leave my comfort zone, the free-and-easy RA job, and challenge myself to pick up something new and different. I'm destined for something greater. Don't stay average. 

In the CWPM, pastor asked us to draw the following diagram (a simple one), and write down our target to achieve a.k.a new year resolution in respective area, and pray for God's favor and approval for it.

New Year New Plan

Dang Dang Dang!! Here comes the first post in 2013. Originally plan to write this post in the first day of new year. Well, the second day is not too late though. Haha..

So how should I start? Erm... how about telling you about my last day of 2012 and how I crossover? It's a good night spent with Richard and some of his CG members. We had dinner together, random chat, second round in Khim's house, a meaningful sharing of most memorable moment + most embarrassing moment + most sad moment + the one most wanted-to-achieve breakthrough/ new year resolution in 2013. While I were sharing about the most memorable moment in 2012, certainly it's none other than being able to go official with Richard with the blessing from our leaders, the guys are like keep questioning me how it had been done, I mean how Richard had proposed to me to be a couple. Well, the question should remained mistery. Haha.. And, this special day was also a very special day for Andrew, being sabo-ed as a birthday boy!! Haha.. Above all, it had been a real fun, warm and meaningful time together.

And here comes the new year, 2013!! I believe it'll be a great year ahead.

I had spent my first day writing down my new year resolution together with the love of my life (while playing game), and also planning for this year 2013. We also joined the Chinese church worship team appreciation dinner together. Another session of chatting, sharing and eating together. It's a good time catch up with others. And during the games and appreciation session, while Richard is the lucky one to win a GSC voucher in the game, another lucky winner, Khim, blessed me with his voucher, so that Richard and I can go watch movie together. 

It's a good start of the new year. Nothing fancy or complicated, but a simple and nice day. :)

Count the Blessing

2012 gonna end in hours time. Plan to close it with gratitude by counting the blessing. 2012 has been a great year so far, God has been very nice to me, not too many obstacles this year, but a smooth one.

2012 is coming to an end. Looking for a great 2013 ahead.

1.     In a relationship with Richard Tan. Able to be official with him and under the blessing of our leaders is indeed a great joy for me. =D

2.     Graduated from UM this year after 4 years' study. 4 years had been very long for me, very long indeed. Seeing all my friend that came to UM at the same time with me but graduated earlier, one more year indeed turned out to be very long.

3.     Attended CLT and graduated. Being sent to CLT is indeed unexpected for me. And be able to graduate the 2nd time alone in this one year is a joy for me.

4.     Can serve in church big day (Crossover Project, Missing Sun, Emerge). Able to have different chance serving in different big day, I feel proud for myself. *A pat on my shoulder*

5.     Got "Most Diligent" Award from Chinese church. A surprise and unexpected award. Feeling warm and heart-melting being appreciated.

6.     Have been a smooth year. Not too many obstacles as I had said earlier. I'm grateful.

7.     Manage to secure a job. Though the salary is not too high, but as I'm in my transition period, it's good enough at the moment.

8.     In the process of Master study application. Well, I'm still considering, to do or not to do.

9.     Improved relationship with sister and brothers. From blocking me in FB to add me and accept me, I would say that it's indeed a big one.

10. Sister able to further her study oversea. She's always the sister I'm proud of. Being excellent in whatever she do. Plus, she travel a lot to different places, I able to see through her eyes. :)

11. Ministry able to recruit new and dedicated members. It's indeed what I hope for and pray for. Thank God for my team. I'm proud of them.

12. Mix better with ministry members. Manage to hangout with members from different ministry, may it be Eng church media team, my chorusboard, translation ministry or his worship team and keyboardist.

13. Got a Starbuck tumbler as my gift from media team gift exchange party.

14. Able to bless others in Christmas. I'm a happy Santa when the receivers really love their gift.

15. Xin Hui is back to God and back in church. Nothing can beat the joy of seeing a sister that's so dear to me back to God.

16. Move to UT, better environment, security and housemates.

17. Attending different wedding with Richard.

星光熠熠贺圣诞

叮叮当~ 叮叮当~ 铃声多响亮！

一年一度的圣诞节又到咯！一向来都很喜欢这个节日。

今年，我们中文教会的圣诞偕感恩聚会主题为星光熠熠贺圣诞，除了往常会有的特别表演以外，我们还有颁奖典礼。而这一次的聚会，我们媒体团队收到一个令人振奋的指示，我们得到特赦“全世界休息”，会有英文教会的团队过来帮忙，好让我们可以好好地、没有顾虑地享受整个聚会。不过，其实是有“阴谋”的。什么阴谋？等下我告诉你。嘿嘿…

于是，我也不去操心这次聚会的准备功夫，只是在一旁看着男友忙着所有的Video，偶尔会八卦一下掺一只脚做个路人甲，也蛮好玩的。哈哈…这一切都很写意，直到…聚会的前几天，Shirley给我摇了一通电话，告诉我他们没有办法，需要我帮忙准备Slide。并且很抱歉的说，不好意思，我需要准备自己的得奖Slide。什么？你没有看错，我是其中一个的奖项得主。哈哈…

整个的感恩聚会很棒，无论是表演的大、小朋友，美丽及英俊的主持人，又或者是愕然的奖项得主们。而我们这些所有的媒体团队，包括音响以及灯光，习惯了守在服事岗位的我们，一时间我们还真不习惯，聚会前还感到蛮别扭的。一班人就堆在了一起。

中文教会2012年的聚会就在感恩当中画上了一个美丽的休止符。

我相信明年会更好，期待着2013年美丽的到来。
